Why Hire a Wedding Planner?

We've probably all been to a wedding where you're just sitting or standing there for what seems like forever waiting for the next item to unfold, wondering why the bride and groom chose a church that's 30 miles away / 3 hours in between the ceremony and reception or getting your groove on to a DJ who incessantly and abruptly changes the song just as it's about to get to the best part! Chances are, a wedding planner wasn't involved and the couple most likely didn't think of hiring a day of coordinator.

You may very well in fact be the bride or groom who's on top of everything- you planned every last detail and you know how everything should flow. Too bad you can't be cloned for your own wedding day! The one piece of advice I tell all my clients, is: don't forget to enjoy YOUR day! Countless hours have been spent putting together such a special day in your lives and it's finally here. All you should do is relax and savor the moment because it goes by sooo fast! You deserve to have a trusted professional step in and make sure your decorations are picture-perfect, vendors are coordinated, the bridal party is cued accordingly so you and your maid of honor aren't bogged down with who's handling these details. 

The investment of hiring a wedding planner is not a luxury, it's a priceless necessity; it's peace of mind. Of course I would say that, I'm a wedding planner, right? I stand behind my work and the quality of service I provide but I'm not the only one who recognizes the benefits of hiring a wedding planner. I think vendors would agree that we collectively want to help each couple have a joyful, memorable and seamless as possible wedding! He or she is the venue's catering manager and their job is to make sure that everything having to do with the facilities runs smoothly. While they are helpful, they do not cover the scope of what an independent planner does.

When it comes to the day of your wedding, the most important thing is that you are able to relax and enjoy it. You are the bride. You don't want to end up being the point person for issues and questions that will inevitably arise. Hiring a planner frees you and everyone you love to live in the moment on your wedding day.
