Sensational Succulents
Monday, October 24, 2011
Elegant, organic, modern, eclectic, fresh & chic! Though succulents are usually thought of as tough, water-hardy plants which are built to survive hot, dry summers, the other side of their nature is that they don't really like summer all that much. Like most garden plants (and people), they much prefer autumn and spring. Pair them with your favorite flower; succulents are so fun to dress up and since they're accessible all seasons, would liven up any wedding all year round! Best part of all, in most cases, you can re-plant these fleshy, water-bearing plants into your rock garden for continued beautification! Many times I see succulents paired with Spring/Summer color motifs such as yellow and coral. Here are a few arrangements that would be lovely for a fall wedding! I'm loving the way it complements plum and burgundy tones!
