Signature Scent

On your wedding day, you'll most likely be surrounded by a sea of people you probably haven't seen in a long time, not to mention hand in hand with the amazing love of your life! Not only do you want to look your best, you'll want to smell your best as well.

When I think of a bride, I think of the words, fresh, happy, vibrant, floral, romantic, beautiful, timeless.

The ideal scent would probably be something that was soft, yet has a presence, without being too overpowering and most of all, a fragrance that will last all day.

After chatting with my perfume-junkie friends, raiding Sephora and doing some online research, I present to you some of the most bride-worthy scents, in no particular order.:

Feel free to leave a comment with your fave bride-a-licious perfumes as well!

Glamour recently did a post entitled "5 Absolute Best Perfumes for Brides." Here are their top picks, categorized by personality types:

For the classic bride: Quelques Fleurs
The notes in this timeless floral scent have remained a secret for 90 years--but that hasn't diminished its popularity. "This is a fragrance that gets passed down through generations," Saxby says. You could buy it for your own daughter before her wedding day, too.

For the cool, modern bride: Voyage d'Hermes
This crisp, woodsy new fragrance--which Saxby recommends for "a chic, cultured bride"--is one you could share with your groom-to-be; it's unisex!

For the beachy bride: Creed Sublime Vanille
This vanilla/citrus blend is "light, airy, and free-spirited," just like the girl who elopes to a Caribbean beach. Don't kill me when you look at the price tag: I know this one takes splurge to a new level. But hey, maybe you can rationalize it because you're saving so much by not having a huge wedding?

For the fun, flirty bride: Balenciaga Paris Eau De Parfum
Go for something upbeat and flowery! Saxby names this one as "the perfect floral scent for a wedding day"; it blends airy, energetic notes of violets and pepper.

For the ultra-romantic bride: By Kilian Love, Don't Be Shy
This girly mix of neroli, sambac jasmine and a hint of vanilla is "sweet and innocent--what every bride wants to be on her wedding day," Saxby says. FYI, the travel-size spritzes are a more affordable option.
